Washington D.C. – U.S. Congressman Sean Duffy (WI-07) will host a reception to recognize the 7th District’s honorees of the 32nd Annual Congressional Art Competition. Rep. Duffy offered the following comments on this year’s competition:

“The caliber of talent in this year’s art competition is awe-inspiring. I know that behind each of these artists is a strong support system of parents, teachers and administrators who help them to nurture—and believe—in their talents. We must all support the next generation of talent. I invite everyone in the community to lend their support to these artists this Saturday at the Center for the Visual Arts.

Rep. Duffy also noted, “In addition to the traditional competition, we are reaching out to our Facebook friends and asking them to cast their vote for the “People’s Choice Award.” Go to facebook.com/RepSeanDuffy and “like” a favorite artwork. The People’s Choice winner will be announced at Saturday’s reception as well.”

The grand prize winner will be eligible for scholarships and receive airfare to Washington D.C. where the winning artwork will hang in the United States Capitol for one year. Runner-up award recipients will have the opportunity to display their artworks in Rep. Duffy’s District offices.
