Dec 6, 2017Press Release

Washington DC – Wisconsin Congressman Sean Duffy, Chairman of the Financial Services Subcommittee on Housing & Insurance, today lauded President Trump’s decision to officially recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and to move the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv.

“President Trump is fulfilling yet another campaign promise in his decision to move the U.S. embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, the nation’s capital,” said Congressman Duffy. “After the previous administration slighted Israel at every turn, it’s heartening that President Trump has the resolve to stand with our ally. This move will serve as yet another bond in the friendship between our two great nations. I’m proud to stand with President Trump in the defense of Israel, and will continue to work my heart out in Congress to support one of our closest allies.”

·         In January, Congressman Duffy sent to President-Elect Trump in support of the move of the American embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
