U.S. Congressman Sean Duffy (WI-07) announced that he has held town hall meetings in all 20 counties within the Seventh Congressional District of Wisconsin, as well as 15 other less formal public forums called ‘Coffee with your Congressman.’ 

Prior to taking office, Duffy pledged to the citizens of the seventh district he would hold a town hall in each of the 20 counties every year. With 35 public forums across all 20 counties, listening directly to citizens, Congressman Duffy has fulfilled and nearly doubled his original promise.

“I cannot be an effective Congressman unless there’s an open line of communication with the people of the seventh district.  It is so important to be accessible and to simply listen to folks from everywhere around this very large district,” said Duffy. “These town halls have provided an opportunity for an honest conversation about the issues facing Wisconsin in Congress. Even when folks voice their disagreement, we’ve had a great dialogue and it’s vital for me to hear the many opinions of those in the seventh. I look forward to 20 more town halls next year.”

Duffy continues to travel around the district for meetings, Coffee with your Congressman events and other public forums.  His 20 county town hall tour will resume in January, 2012.
