Bipartisan group of 29 Members urge Senate Committee to advance forestry reform legislation
Washington D.C. – U.S. Congressman Sean Duffy (WI-07) led an effort with a bipartisan group of 28 of his House colleagues urging the Senate Energy & Natural Resources Committee to advance legislation that will increase state and local participation in forest management, improve forest health and give the Forest Service the tools it needs to streamline and expedite timber sales and salvages.
In the letter, which was delivered to Chairwoman Mary Landrieu and Ranking Member Lisa Murkowski this week, the Members acknowledge the progress that has been made with the recently passed Farm Bill, but reiterate the need for further action:
